Announcing Forest Carbon Accounting Technical Working Group and Updated Timeline for Land Sector and Removals Workstream  

As announced in July 2024, the Land Sector and Removals Advisory Committee approved a proposal to resolve the issue of forest carbon accounting under GHG Protocol’s Independent Standards Board. To support the resolution of this issue, the Independent Standards Board approved the membership of a Technical Working Group on the topic of forest carbon accounting. Welcoming Additional Independent Standards Board Members

GHG Protocol is pleased to announce five additional members of its Independent Standards Board (ISB). ISB Chair Alexander Bassen and the inaugural members of the ISB are joined by: Anthony Cheung, Pieter Gagnon, Christina Hood, Stuart Jefford and Viola Lutz. New Resource: Scope 3 Frequently Asked Questions

GHG Protocol has compiled a list of 9 frequently asked questions about Scope 3 and provided answers with details on where to find more information in the standard and guidance. View the FAQ here. More answers to Scope 3 frequently asked questions will be announced in future newsletters.

Standard Development and Governance Repository: New Filter

You can now filter by subgroup when browsing GHG Protocol's Standards Development and Governance Repository. You can find governance documents, Standard Development Plans, and Technical Working Group meeting presentations and minutes for each workstream in the Standards Development and Governance Repository. With our new filter, you can now narrow results to only see content relating to a subgroup of one of our workstreams. New materials are added to the document repository every Friday.
